What is ForkPeace?
ForkPeace is the 3-in-1 family dinner app: everyone votes on what's for dinner, the Head of Household makes the final call, and recipes, meal planning, and AI-powered suggestions all live in the same place. It replaces the nightly "what do you want for dinner?" argument, along with the separate recipe app, group chat, and planning spreadsheet, with one simple system.
How does the dinner voting work?
The Head of Household creates a vote with a few dinner options. Everyone in the family gets a link and taps yes or no on each one, no account or download needed. ForkPeace tallies the results, and the Head of Household confirms (or overrides) the winner, notifying the whole family automatically.
What is the Head of Household role?
The Head of Household is the primary account holder. They manage the recipe library, start votes, and have final say on what's for dinner. They can go with the vote winner or pick something else, and either way, the family gets notified.
Do other family members need to download an app or create an account?
No. Everyone else just taps a link to vote, on any device, in a browser, with no signup required. Only the Head of Household needs a ForkPeace account.
Is my ForkPeace account and my recipes visible to anyone else?
No. Your account, your recipes, and your family's dinners are your family's business only. ForkPeace does not create a public website or profile for neighbors to see what you're eating, and only the people you invite to your family can access your account. The one exception is entirely your choice: a recipe leaves your household only if you deliberately share it with a family you've connected to or submit it to the Community Recipe Exchange.
Can I bring in recipes I already use?
Yes. On the Family Pro plan, paste a link from almost any recipe website and ForkPeace automatically pulls in the ingredients, cook time, and photos, so you don't have to retype anything.
